eTwinning Project – Curriculum Integration
5th Grade – 1st Primary School of Iraklia, Serres, Greece
The eTwinning project “Discovering Daily Life Across Borders” is fully integrated into our primary education curriculum. Its main goal is to improve students’ basic English language skills through meaningful communication, collaboration, and intercultural exchange.
Through various activities {Online meetings,Surveys, Creating Logo and Poster Designs, E-Safety discussions, Preparing Personal Emblems, Learning Common Words from Another Country, Sending letters by post,Creating e-Books and QR codes about our school, Uploading photos in a genially “Across Borders, One City”
and Global Busy Clock padlet, dancing and singing our Project Song created with suno….. } the project helps students develop key competencies such as:
Collaboration: working together with classmates and partner schools, working respectfully with others, understanding different perspectives, and participating actively in collaborative projects.(Social and Political studies lesson, Skills Lab lesson)
Communication: practicing English in real-life contexts, discover how other kids live across Europe – intercultural understanding. Students use English to express themselves and interact with peers from other countries.(English lesson)
Creativity: expressing ideas through various Art activities (Art and Music lesson)
Digital competence: using technology safely and creatively to share information, collaborate, and create digital outputs such as videos, maps,posters, padlets, ebooks, …..(I.T. lesson)
Cultural awareness and expression: learning about different cultures and traditions and disseminating their own ones (History lesson, Geography lesson )
